Exemption Permits 01/12/2012
There is alot of confusion as to whether small domestic discharges via a septic tank and soakaway or a waste water treatment plant to a watercourse needs to be registered with the Environment Agency.
Flooding Insurance 01/12/2012
There is alot of speculation relating to flood insurance for properties in high risk areas. The "Statement of Principles" is an agreement between the Association of Bristish Insurers and the Government on the proviso that affordable insurance is provided to homeowners on properties built before Jan 2009 and the government pledges to invest in flood defence infrastructure. This agreement runs out in Jun 2013.
