

Legal Guidance - Flood Risk Assessment
The purpose of the Flood Risk Assessment is to strengthen and clarify the managment of flood risk and contribute to adapting to the impact of climate change. Flooding from rivers and tidal water is set to increase in frequency and intensity as a result of climate change. Consequently, the Government has replaced the Planning Policy Guidance (PPG) 25, 2001 with the Planning Policy Statement (PPS) 25, implemented in Oct 2006.
