Premier Water Solutions 10 Ltd (PWS) is committed to exploring new and better ways to protect property from flooding as well as protecting the environment in keeping with the Environmental Act 2021.
PWS has partnered with University of Exeter, HM Government and European-funded projects to embark on a programme of research and development to explore new and innovative ways to protect the 15,000 homes that are at risk from flooding in Cornwall as well as monitoring potential risks – thus improving water quality to inland waters.
We are working in partnership with the funding bodies below to deliver new systems to challenge the way we currently manage water quality and flood risks.
Superfast Cornwall Help with digitalising the internal processes at PWS, to enhance efficiency along with technical legal advice.
Deep Digital Cornwall Funding to aid real time monitoring of ground water levels to create a dataset that will help PWS in early recognition of areas at risk of flooding.
Unlocking Potential: Digital Transformation Future Focus 2 Programme Help with kickstarting the digitalisation process of operational procedures at PWS. Discovery and Diagnosis Session: Louisa's role has completely changed to work “on the business” rather than “in the business”. She received validation and respect for her vision of how her business could grow, in particular how she could use technology to differentiate her from her competitors. She says her interactions with Unlocking Potential as a whole have boosted her confidence. Louisa initially wanted to have a bespoke system created but initially received assistance researching appropriate software and then reassurance that the software she had been recommended by a peer ticked all of the boxes on her list of requirements. This software is now fully implemented and is expected to save both time and money as admin is reduced, improving the workload of the team and the customer journey of clients. She has been asked to be subject of a video case study for the provider as her ideas have pushed the boundaries of how the software is used. Costing - useful conversations were had about costing. Louisa was already aware it was an important issue. She was helped to create an Excel tool to sketch out how quotes could be built reliably, these ideas were then used as part of the implementation of the Re-flow Field Management software. Coaching was received from our Accounting mentor to help the accounts clerk understand how best to use Quickbooks with regards to cashflow and how to review projects. Attending workshops such as Agile Product Development and Using Innovative Thinking to Solve your Business Problems inspired Louisa to have further product and service ideas and make excellent connections for future collaborations. Working with us opened Louisa's eyes to the amount of funding that was available, she received signposting wherever possible to maximise the amount of help received. She now looks at her role and business with new perspective looking to create many services and products to add to their current portfolio that heavily use technical solutions which can completely revolutionise the level of service they able to provide and the new system gives her the solid foundation of systems to be able to expand once all of the new service projects are ready to launch.

Immersive Business Premier Water Solutions 10 Ltd (PWS) seeks to be at the forefront of alerting homeowners to the necessity of property flood resilience (PFR). To achieve this, we have worked with University of Exeter Immersive Business to develop a VR 360 view of a simulated flooding at a home showing the likely outcome of having no protection and having PFR in place. Use the mouse to scroll around the room in this video (which can also be viewed in 4k high resolution).
